  • Michele, we had a fantastic time in both camps. They were quite different in several ways – personnel, organisation and atmosphere, but they made a perfect pairing. Our ranger at Tanda Tula was exceptional, not just aware of everything going on but also an interesting and informative dinner companion. Animals, all 32 species, couldn’t have been better, the big 5 in one and a half hour stretch at Tanda Tula and a rare kill in front of us by equally rare wild dogs at Nottens where highlights, as was a honey badger and civet at Tanda Tula. We will be in France on the day of your summer luncheon, but would like to thank you in particular, Michele, for the efficiency of your organisation and your ability to deal with all our concerns, however trivial. Thank you so much for everything and we very much hope we will need your services again!

Honeymoons & Weddings

Honeymoons to South Africa

South Africa is a great all round holiday destination and therefore offers everything you might desire on an African honeymoon – plenty of wildlife, spectacular scenery, wonderful restaurants, warm hospitality, exclusive retreats and varied activities to suit all interests. For the more active, there are walking safaris, mountain hiking and horse-riding trails to consider, whilst there is no better place in the world to spend lazy days sipping wine and enjoying delicious food in the sunshine. Whatever your priorities on honeymoon, South Africa is an affordable and exciting destination to visit.

The one thing South Africa can not do is compete with the traditional Indian Ocean destinations of Mauritius, Zanzibar, the Seychelles and Mozambique in terms of ‘picture perfect’ tropical beaches. Although most beaches are sandy, and stretch for miles and miles, they are rarely ‘palm-fringed’ or protected by offshore reefs. They offer wonderful walks, great seascapes, surf swimming and surfing, but rarely the idyllic ‘tropical beach’ environment.

Whilst you may not need to look beyond South Africa, it is easy to combine a honeymoon in South Africa with a variety of other African hot-spots such as Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River (Zimbabwe and Zambia), the Okavango Delta (Botswana), Namib Desert (Namibia), Masai Mara (Kenya) and the wonderful beach destinations mentioned above.
