Hello Michele, we want to thank you for organising our extraordinary safari adventure in Southern Africa. Everything that we had planned worked seamlessly and efficiently in all three countries, including eleven airplanes (+helicopter), multiple lodges and hotels over nearly three weeks. We saw and experienced everything we could imagine for Africa and came home exhilarated (and healthy). A special delight were the staff at all the lodges in Botswana, who seemed so happy to meet with us, spend personal time with us, and treated us like honoured family guests. Our game viewing drives covered all manner of terrain and close up encounters with so many animals and birds in their natural surroundings, that we took over 900 photographs combined. The expert and knowledgeable guides soon became new friends. The food and accommodations were first class and individually special everywhere. We were busy the whole time, and the places you chose presented an exotic variety of experiences.
Some additional comments that did not detract from our delightful safari:
* Night game drives with searchlights were OK, but somehow seemed intrusive and not too productive.
* Nights and predawn drives were indeed cold despite hot water bottles, lush bedcovers, and vehicle blankets so we were happy to be there in June not August. We came well prepared with warm clothes, scarves and gloves and needed them on highway game drives – we were surprised how cold those cottages with screens, Kanana and Okuti, were at night and early morning. The low temperature was 0 degrees Centigrade one morning and no higher than 10 degrees on other days.
* Victoria falls was extraordinary but so full of mist that a later date would have been better (my error). The helicopter ride provided an expanded view, but seemed rather expensive.
Again, we congratulate Safari Consultants, for a complex network of arrangements between camps and transport operations that works flawlessly without delays across countries, rivers, airports etc.
We have recommended Safari consultants to all our friends here, and to our families in the UK.![]()

Dear Rob, we had an amazing time, all of the places we stayed in were excellent and the order was just right. Selinda Camp was our favourite camp – the staff go out of their way to ensure you have everything you want. We also loved Footsteps Across the Delta; a peaceful and completely different experience to the rest. You were right that the animals weren’t as plentiful as they were in Kenya but we still saw lots of them, even a leopard on one occasion. The bird life in Botswana is incredible too. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday.![]()

Dear Michele, we had a really great holiday and all went well. Thanks for all the arrangements and accommodation recommendations. Thamakalane River Lodge is a great place for birding in their grounds. Letaka Safaris – Excellent. Olive Grove – Excellent, nice touches and great breakfast. Little Sossus Lodge – Excellent. Great accommodation with fantastic views from our front door. Great food. All very friendly. Enjoyed the sundowner trip with lots of food and wine. The full day excursion to Sossusvlei was excellent and Pierre went out of his way to find the Desert Lark for us. He was very good company and spent a lot of time showing us the area – a memorable day. Cornerstone Guesthouse – Excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Accommodation huge and very clean, great breakfast. One day not long enough. Brandberg White Lady Lodge – Friendly and excellent setting with beautiful desert gardens. Camp Kipwe – Excellent. Our favourite place for its setting and design. Food also excellent and Tafi was a great guide. We were lucky to see the desert elephants on our morning nature drive. Erongo Wilderness Lodge – Excellent. Good accommodation, great setting and views. Good birding and photo opportunities from the dining/terrace areas. Thanks again for everything.![]()

Dear Rob, I just wanted to let you know that we had an excellent trip. Everyone really enjoyed the time spent with the guides spotting and watching a great variety of wildlife. Savannah was just what we needed to get our feet on the ground. The Savannah Suite was perfect and a really relaxing place. All of the staff working in the lodge were great and made us very welcome. What really made it though was the energy and enthusiasm of the guide (Kevin) and tracker (Julius). We saw leopard, lions plus cubs, elephants, rhino and buffalo and two different cheetah. Letaka was excellent – Lucas was a first class guide and made every effort to look after us whilst we stayed with him. Footsteps was good, the walks were great and we very much enjoyed being on foot again. This time we saw a lot of lions and a pair mating at very close quarters; zebra and impala everywhere. We also saw six male lions in one morning which was quite a surprise, a civet at night plus some lions very close to the bush dinner which kept our attention. OP and Noah guided us very well and the girls really enjoyed a slightly more advanced young explorers camp. Kanana was excellent – they made a real effort to look after us and we appreciated that as well as the warmth of the welcome. Thank you for arranging it all.![]()

Dear Rob, overall, it was wonderful – and your organisation was brilliant. We were met at every stage on time and there were no hassles. Nuarro Lodge was very comfortable and our hosts did everything they could to make us welcome and our stay enjoyable. Nthambo camp was fantastic. Our guides Matt and Isaac deserve a special mention because they were outstanding. Matt really took time to share his passion and knowledge about the animals and the bush and it made every trip out of camp and enjoyable adventure. Isaac had 30 years’ experience and was super cool. We really enjoyed the guided walks as well as the game drives, as we were as interested in the small stuff as much as the Big 5. We absolutely loved Waterberry Lodge in Zambia. You really pulled something special out of the bag on this one! Nathan and Gordon, the guides, and every single other member of staff, were so attentive and delightful. The lodge itself was super comfortable and we really, really wanted to stay longer there. Every place we stayed, the food was remarkable, especially given the limitations of getting fresh supplies and the facilities available. I’ve never eaten so much on holiday! So, all in all, a very special trip and your organisation was superb.![]()

Hi Michele, Fantastic wild dog sightings, glimpse of a sitatunga, kingfisher bashing a frog against the branch of a tree, 3 leopard sightings, lions every day. It was a great holiday and all your arrangements went very smoothly, a big thank you! Your arrangements are so great – even down to the selection of seats on the plane – they were perfect!![]()

Gillian and Don from London travelled to the Okavango Delta and the Central Kalahari, Botswana
Dear Rob, no two trips to Botswana are ever the same but as usual we had many remarkable experiences covering birds, animals, reptiles and insects. All the arrangements went like clockwork. Letaka did us proud as usual. We were welcomed with much enthusiasm, especially by the cook Musa, whom we had been with several times before, and of course Disho. The whole mobile safari experience was as enjoyable as ever, the boys were most attentive and looked after us very thoughtfully. The food was excellent, varied and plentiful. Disho’s enthusiastic guiding brought us many interesting sightings, most of the time with no other humans in sight. We enjoyed our stay at Kalahari Plains very much and hope to return one day. Grant was really in excellent form as usual and we had a great time bird watching with him. Several birds were new to us and we were pleased to demonstrate that we could still name some of the larks he had taught us to identify on our previous spell in the Kalahari. We thoroughly enjoyed our fifth safari in Botswana, everything went smoothly and we have great memories of the people we met, the wildlife encounters and behaviour. Thank you very much for all you did to make it such a success. We look forward to the sixth!![]()
