Andrew and Gail from Wiltshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, we had the most fantastic holiday and saw far more than we ever imagined, including a large river crossing of wildebeest, so a very big thank you not only for your help in pointing us towards Kenya, but also the Kicheche camps. We couldn’t have been looked after better, everyone was so welcoming and their enthusiasm for the wildlife was clear to see. I am missing my early morning greeting with coffee and cookies! At the Valley Camp there was much excitement as our guide Mika – with us and another couple in the Landover! – located the female leopard and cubs which had been evading detection for a while. She has been visible (with binoculars) from our tent sitting on a large rock across the other side of the valley, what a treat.![]()

Michael and Linda from Cambridgeshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, we arrived home safely from yet another great safari experience. You will be pleased to know that the game viewing was exceptional and the best we have ever seen in all of our trips. We saw what was the best migration for three years and watched ten thousand Wildebeest crossing the Mara river at a spectacular crossing point. We also saw our first ever successful Cheetah hunt along with wonderful sightings of Leopard, Lion and Rhino. Another good combination of areas, properties and fantastic guiding throughout. Mara House exceeded all expectations and we thought it was a perfect property to relax in at the end of our trip. Linda and I were so pleased that 16 years after our visit to the original Rekero cottages we were lucky to be re-united and guided by Fred, who was our guide then. We were also pleased to see Sonja again, who looked after us brilliantly. Thanks again for putting together another superb trip.![]()

Graham from Essex spent two weeks on three different walking safaris in Kenya
Hello Rob, we able to get within 25 yards of four of the big 5 (Leopard the exception none seen), and numerous other close encounters with antelope, hippo, hyena, warthog, the classics with Kitonga on Lewa Walking Wild being 1) tracking two male lion for best part two hours and then after it was clear to Kitonga they had split, he only peeked round a thicket to find one of them sunbathing his undercarriage about 15/20 yards away and it did not know we were there until his brother roared from 40/50 yards away and they both ran off, and 2) getting into a downwind position from a mother white rhino and her sub adult kids (3 years and 6 years per Kitonga) and they finally realised something was there when we were 15 yards apart. The mother for a minute or two continuously put one step forward and then back again as if she was indecisive whether to charge but clearly could not see what we were. Kitonga finally clicked his fingers and the rhino retreated 30 yards or so and then stared at us as if to think “what the hell was that”. Basically what I am saying is that I absolutely loved it and when mates who asked how much it cost I said it was well worth it. So many thanks Rob your message got through to Kenya loud and clear as to what I wanted and I got it!![]()

Darren, Coreen, Owen & Allyson from British Colombia travelled to Kenya
Hi Mary, I have been meaning to email you sooner and thank you for booking us on such a special holiday, but life has been very busy since our return. The trip was perfect. Every detail worked out just right which made the holiday virtually stress free. Laikipia Wilderness was our favourite. Annabelle and Steve run such a wonderful camp. Really makes you feel like you are friends visiting their home rather than a paying guest. Kicheche Mara Camp was also very good, but didn’t have the personalised touch that Laikipia offered. We did however see some amazing wildlife in the Mara. It was a great suggestion that we pair up the two locations. My husband got the most beautiful shot of a leopard and her cubs. They didn’t come out much so we were very lucky. I have had several people ask me about how they go about booking a trip like this for themselves and when they are ready to move forward, I will be sure to send them your way. Definitely a trip of a lifetime for us. Thanks so much.![]()

Dear Mary, we want to thank you so very much for an outstanding experience!!!!! You were so lovely to work with during all of the planning and some of our last minute church changes! What an incredible experience we had!!!!! All of our transports were right on time, clean, and courteous. We learned so much local flavor in talking with our drivers. Virunga Lodge was spectacular. Every detail was seen to. They provided us with spats for the gorilla hike and even cleaned our boots upon return. We sat with groups of other travelers so that was fun to get to know people from all over. FYI: They now have power strips in the rooms and loan out battery operated hair blowers, Both the golden monkey safari and the gorilla safari were fabulous. Very well coordinated and we felt totally safe. We really over-thought the experience before we went…it was a breeze. Ngare Serian was our absolute favorite among favorites. Adrian runs a great lodge. The aaccommodations were so spectacular right on the Mara River. The guide and driver were so well prepared and courteous. Being guided and at night being protected by the Masai warriors was a fun treat. We felt the experience was very authentic. We were totally blessed by a great migration of zebras. We watched 4000-5000 zebras cross over a 2 hour period at the main crossing. I know timing is everything…and we had the timing. We skipped the tree house. It is pretty rough and we so loved our room we did not want to miss a day staying there. Emakoka was a perfect end to the trip. Nairobi is such a busy city we were glad to be able to spend our last night in their peaceful surroundings. We took a late afternoon game drive. The food looked great and the service was so classy. I was a little under the weather that day and did not get a chance to enjoy all of the great food. But Marv said it was great. I recovered the following morning and breakfast was terrific! I would be happy to post any high recommendations I can on whatever sites would be helpful to you and your company. You are the finest! Thank you so much.![]()

Barry from Spain travelled to the Masai Mara, Kenya
Hi Frances, I had a truly fantastic trip and have been very impressed with everything from first contact with you right through to the courtesy of asking for feedback now. Both camps were excellent as were all of the staff. A special mention to the guides William and Gladys who were superb, knowledgeable and tireless in their efforts to show me everything they could. Camps were clean, professionally ran and managed with excellent service and good company. I was very lucky with the river crossings, seeing several on the Sand river and the Mara. I managed to see all of the big five. Overall the trip more than lived up to my expectations. Kenya is clearly a very special place and I will no doubt be back there again. Thank you Frances for your recommendations and professional service.![]()

Hello Mary, the trip was just utterly incredible. The combination of Sosian, Serengeti and Zanzibar was perfect and the order just right. Really we couldn’t have wished for more. The Serengeti time was so special – lack of WIFI with teenage kids is such a bonus. We managed to keep it from them in Sosian too until they overheard someone mention you could get it at the entrance! All your organisation and flights etc. worked a treat and having been worried about the flying element, it became a highlight. When I think of the millions people spend going to spas and retreats etc. – all you need is a weekend of safari to feel like a completely renewed human being! Thank you so much and we will be planning our next one now!![]()

Hi Mary, we had a spectacular time. Thanks so much for helping us work out what we wanted and making all the arrangements. Both camps (Lewa Wilderness and Kicheche Bush) were superb. The food and comfort levels were excellent and the animal spotting fantastic. Many Thanks![]()

- MauritiusMike and Angharad from Colchester travelled to Kenya and Mauritius on honeymoon
Hi Michele, we both wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into making our honeymoon so special with the itinerary that you put together. We had an amazing experience in Kenya. Ol Seki had an amazing setting on the side of the hill and it was unbelievable and very strange sitting there with all the wildlife around. We also had champagne in the tent for the honeymoon which was nice. Onto Mauritius and The Maritim was a lovely hotel overlooking the beach and a small bay. Again honeymoon specials were in the room which was nice. The food on the whole was pretty good and staff helpful. We did two trips – one visiting a tea plantation, grand bassin and the waterfalls in the national park. The second was in a catamaran in the lagoon on the east of the island, seeing waterfalls, snorkelling in the beautiful clear water with plenty of rum punch and beer which was nice. The hotel and the island were very nice with plenty to do but having such wonderful time at Ol Seki it had a huge amount to live up to but still very enjoyable. So as you have probably guessed we had a fantastic trip that we shall remember for a very long time. We are both very grateful to you for all your advice and work and are really pleased you advised us to go to Kenya, a fascinating country and it felt like everyone we came across couldn’t do enough to help you. Once again thank you for your efforts in putting this together and putting up with my silly questions.![]()

Mike and Clair from North Yorkshire travelled to the Masai Mara, Kenya for three weeks
Dear Michele, highlights of our latest Kenya trip. Two cheetah kills, both Grants gazelles, both very close. The second one all on our own, miles from her previous stomping ground. All 4 cubs helped her! One leopard kill 20 yards from us taking a young zebra at a crossing. Buffalo giving birth and rejecting the calf in favour of her previous calf, still at heel. Wildebeest giving birth. Four zebra crossings, one with crocodiles killing an adventurous adult zebra. Zebra stallions fighting for females. Three side-striped jackals. Serval being intimidated by zebras (we had well over an hour of this confrontation). Leopard out in the sun then going back to its kill in the tree and demolishing it! Ten different cheetahs, all 100% visible. Six leopards all 100% visible.
220 plus lions, the Cheli pride had at least 23 cubs under 3 months old.![]()
