Jamie and Angela from Gloucestershire travelled to Kenya
Dear Michele, everything went extremely well. The Maasai guides at the Offbeat camp were outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. They even found us a leopard which had been treed by a group of baboons. I have never been able to get photographs as good as those I took of the leopard. Diani Beach was a great way to unwind after the safari. Asha Cottage was very comfortable and produced superb food. You chose well for us and the arrangements all worked well. So thank you so much for orchestrating it all for us.![]()

Hi Bill, we had an amazing time seeing all the big five as well as a cheetah kill. We even saw some unusual and somewhat timid animals as well, very exciting stuff. Sonja and Andy are lovely people, we were made to feel welcome in both camps. Well worth the money! Africa is in our heart, we plan to go again real soon. Thank you too for arranging this trip for us and your team, we will never forget it.![]()

Jan and Richard from East Sussex celebrated their anniversary with a safari in Kenya
Dear Mary, it was brilliant! Laikipia Wilderness was so good, the accommodation was very comfortable, food delicious and all the staff very attentive and helpful. We saw the wild dogs on two separate days, and had two/three more FIRSTS – two genets, a zorilla having a tug of war with a jackal and apparently an Aardwolf but I think I blinked but Steve did confirm the den the next day. Kicheche was, as ever, brilliant, very comfortable, delicious food and wine, excellent guides, brilliant game drives. We will never believe a Kenyan again who asks if we would like to see a leopard! On our last night we had just finished a drink round the fire when the ‘askaris’ said they had spotted a leopard and took us down to the lake, shining bright torches along the bank where funnily enough no leopard was to be seen but we did not suspect that on our return we would find that the dining table had been moved under the stars and was beautifully decorated with leaves in heart shapes. For once the menu was not announced and we found out why when everyone came out singing and dancing, bringing a wonderfully decorated chocolate cake for dessert – we felt very special and very spoilt. Hemingways was Hemingways and we were greeted like long lost friends even though we hadn’t stayed there for four years. The weather was glorious and on our actual Anniversary once again we were presented with our dessert accompanied by much singing and dancing – I can’t think who could have told them!!!! All the arrangements went exactly as you planned and we are very gratefully too you for making this such a memorable trip. Many, many thanks again. We will certainly be in touch when we are organising our next trip.![]()

Roanna and Peter from Cornwall travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, we had an amazing time in Kenya, just thought we’d drop you a line about each of the places that we stayed. Kicheche Laikipia – We absolutely loved this camp, it was such a nice size and the staff were brilliant. The tents were well furnished and very big, we liked sitting on the veranda and watching the elephants and buffalo down at the waterhole. The guides were very knowledgable and the area was beautiful. We saw a cheetah kill an impala which really made our trip! Kicheche Mara – our guide David was brilliant, he knew everything about all of the game and birds. We went to the local market and to a masai village from here. We saw a Serval cat and a Caracal, both of which we were told had only been spotted a couple of times since June. We also saw 2 different leopards! Waterlovers – what a beautiful place, this hotel was in such an amazing location and just felt so intimate and special. The staff were always on hand to help you find your spot in the morning and then bring drinks etc through out the day if you wanted anything. We went swimming in the sea every day, after asking the beach boys to leave us alone on the first day we weren’t too bothered by them. The food was delicious and we loved that we could go out in the evenings too, we ate at the hotel 3 evenings and went out 3 evenings. The staff were all very friendly, we saw the 2 managers each day and also the owners made an effort to come and speak to us every morning. Thank you for organising such an amazing trip for us, hopefully we wont have to wait another 6 years until we can go again!.![]()
