- TanzaniaLuke and Caroline from Berkshire travelled to Kenya & Tanzania
Hi Rob, Caroline and I would like to thank you for organising the most wonderful trip that exceeded all expectations for our silver wedding anniversary holiday. In the Serengeti we saw a crossing of Wildebeest across the Mara river and crocs taking their share. We were lucky enough to see all the big cats – Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs as well as plenty of Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Buffalo, Hyena, Zebra, Ostrich, Baboon, Bat eared foxes, plus many more. In short, fantastic and we loved the Kirurumu North camp (once we got used to the Zebra and Wildebeest roaming through camp!). In Ruaha we saw several prides of lions, cheetahs climbing trees, jackals, greater and lesser Kudu and an Eagle owl . It was interesting to see the elephants digging for water in the sand river and the Mwagusi camp team organised a day of private guiding followed by a wonderful champagne and cake sundowner on the actual day of our anniversary which was great. In Selous we had Elephants, Hippos, Bushbabies and Genet Cats in camp (the last two joining us on our dinner table!). We spent time with a family of wild dogs (sightings are not frequent we understand) and saw several Lions (including one up a tree with his kill below!). We also saw many birds including eagles, bee-eaters, pelicans, storks and a swarm of killer bees! Selous Impala organised a lovely champagne and nibbles sundowner at the end of our afternoon river safari followed by an anniversary bush dinner at camp complete with our own fire! On Mafia we swam with whale sharks, snorkelled over excellent coral in the marine park with lion fish, moray eels and many others. Thanks again to you and the team for a great job!![]()

Ivor and Anita from Staffordshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, what can we say about the holiday other than it was better than either Anita and I expected; it was truly a holiday of a lifetime. After deciding at the age of 10 and waiting 50 years for the opportunity it surpassed our expectations! The camps you recommended were perfect, the guys running the camps the staff were all superb and the guides were unbelievable with their knowledge and enthusiasm. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was a dream, the food simply amazing and the experience of the animals left us lost for words. The walking experience was one of the greatest experiences of our lives and how well we were looked after and we saw a Leopard, yes a Leopard whilst we were walking – even the guides were blown away by that. One of the best experiences of the safari was simply being wrapped up in ponchos with a mug of hot chocolate, in complete darkness looking at the vast array of stars and just listening to the night! Frances, we can’t thank you enough; you really listened to us and every detail was spot on, we could not find fault with anything.![]()

David and Rosemary from Dorset travelled to Kenya
Hi Julia, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the most amazing holiday. Everything went like absolute clockwork – all the transport worked perfectly and the camps you chose for us were first class. We have done quite a few safaris and the game viewing on this one surpassed everything. Please pass our thanks on to everyone who helped make it such a special holiday and we will certainly be back in a couple of years time to book up our next one.![]()

Ross and Shona from West Sussex travelled to Kenya
Dear Mary, AITO forms with yes or no answers do not reveal that much so I’ve decided to drop you a more personal line. Various people sent you their best wishes by the way. We had a Wonderful safari (I think our fourth with you) and thank you for all your help planning it. You, your company and it’s organisation are amongst the very best in the business. We absolutely loved Serian Original and would certainly go again, the moral of our story is that for us the most important thing is the quantity of game and the interactions that result. Spas, gyms and mountains of delicious food are all wonderful but for us we’d happily forego them all for a cracking game drive.![]()

The guides were just amazing. Everything was great and thank you so much for organising! Cannot wait for the next safari!![]()

Hi Michele, just a quick note to say thanks for all your help in organising and planning our honeymoon trip to Kenya and Zanzibar. It was perfect and by far the best trip we have ever done! The safari element was excellent with Ol Seki Hemingway’s being a perfect place for a first time Safari and our favourite part of the trip.![]()

Alan and Peter from London travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, just wanted to write to thank you for all your help arranging our recent holiday to Kenya. You were always very helpful. All the arrangements were fantastic as were the places we stayed. The view from the lounge at Tortilis over the watering hole and the bush beyond was lovely, as was the view from our tent at Kicheche Mara Camp; we had elephants and baboons coming right up to the tent. The migration has not really happened this year, so the Mara was empty compared to what it should be this time of year. That was a little disappointing but we saw the Big 5 and we had some good sightings including a lion hunt, although they just missed out on catching a warthog.![]()

Hi Michele, another really wonderful trip and great contrast to the ‘Pangolin’ one. Much more ‘classic’ sightings, but the quality of the sighting was amazing!![]()

Christopher and Kathryn from Hampshire travelled to Kenya
Dear Rob, we have just returned from Kenya having had a wonderful time. The choice of accommodation worked really well in combination, each being different with varying terrain and wildlife. Lewa House was an excellent first stop and felt very much like being a house guest on a private estate (which effectively we were!). Sophie and Callum are great hosts and the game viewing excellent. It was great to see the abundant Rhino populations including a two week old new addition. Saruni Samburu was a slightly different experience as you had said. The views from our room were truly spectacular with Rock Hyrax often only a few feet away. Kicheche Bush Camp was different again. The big cat viewing was particularly excellent. Highlights were a pride of fifteen lions walking past us in the early morning light, a cheetah with three playful cubs and a leopard up a tree in a typical pose. We saw a lion bring down a zebra and lions on kills having stand offs with hyenas, jackals and vultures. The food and guides were great in all three locations. Thanks very much for advising us and organising such a great trip. It is only a matter of time before we start thinking about the next one.![]()
