Dear Mary, I promised a few comments from what has been a wonderful holiday. The plan to base our holiday on the Zambia bank of the Zambezi, opposite where we had our honeymoon was perfect – you have now organised South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Zanzibar for us, and goodness knows how many for friends. We have loved each part of every trip. Our 2 super-highlights? Perhaps Sosian when the children were younger, and now Tusk and Mane Mobile Camping. It is the variety of textures and activities within these two settings combined with the outstanding and very personal organisation and delivery of every minute in a private setting that made them our favourite moments. Kyle and his fiancee Sarah put a huge amount of effort into making sure everything was as we hoped. Kayaking through crocodiles devouring a dead hippo (we lost count at 60 and they really were that close to our kayak and had to be pushed off), fishing (William caught the biggest Tigerfish in memory on that stretch of the river – first cast), then a surprise with Kyle showing him how to open his first bottle of “champagne” for an early birthday present, early morning drives watching 3 male lions playing together before resting, elephant galore eating from the trees, followed by a couple of hours peaceful walking in quite the most beautiful woodland. There were night drives to see new borne leopard and in the “quiet” 2 hours after lunch Kyle would take me fly fishing on my own, casting right into hippo pods where the tigers lurked – and all with almost no one else around. You have found a great new adventure here. I’d strongly recommend 4 nights as we did. Clive at Purple Patch Transfers and Tours was wonderfully colourful and hands on in Vic Falls and looked after us incredibly well. Pumulani really does have spectacular villas. We were again very lucky to be almost alone there so had wall to wall activities every day. So much for resting! Swimming with countless cichlids, tough walks up the hills, kayaking, pico sailing, dhow cruises, star gazing, paddle boarding, water skiing and tubing amongst the activities we did. A heart felt thank you again for your patience and advice. It has been a truly wonderful trip.![]()

Kaya Mawa was as good as promised. We had a beautiful room. The food was first class. The service excellent and friendly. We had a very relaxing week diving, walking, canoeing and reading. We were very happy in the North and South Luanwga. We tended to walk in the mornings and simply watch in the afternoons either from our hut or from the river bank after a short walk. The Chikoko and Crocodile bush camps in the South Luangwa were both charming and comfortable. Thank you Mary for arranging this for us.![]()

John and Renate from London travelled to Nyika National Park, Malawi
Dear Bill, the Nyika Plateau was really something else at an elevation of 7,500 – 8,000 feet up. It seemed just like many areas of Scotland that we have been to, bold rolling hills with deep valleys where the tree grow and the water runs. The only difference is that instead of deer we had roan, zebra, reedbuck, and bushbuck. The area is vast and the game seems sparse, but the vistas were always stunning and so there was plenty to look at. We had two leopard sightings during the day and a few nice sighting at night, including probably the best sighting ever of a honey badger and also a serval cat. Both leopards were in broad daylight. The satt at the lodge were first class, friendly and competent! Thank you for all your help.![]()

Tafika accommodation and staff were fantastic – our hut was on the river bank with beautiful views. Walking safari was excellent –they will take you out for 4-5 hrs if you are up to it, brilliant not seeing any other traffic/walkers whilst we were out. Food excellent, game drives good and microlite flight was amazing. Chindeni in a beautiful spot on the lagoon – we had fantastic accommodation, right on lagoon and our tent was by itself – not overlooked at all – nice interior and outside hammock! Food brilliant, hospitality amazing, safari walks were fantastic and drives were excellent. Very relaxed and informal but well run, again, we didn’t see other jeeps whilst out in the evenings. Zambia is a beautiful country and somehow felt more “WILD” and natural than some other regions in Africa (although all are fantastic as far as I am concerned)! Loved our stay on Likoma Island. Lake swimming excellent – lots of activities on offer without spoiling the feeling of peace and quiet. You gave us an amazing and very memorable trip to Africa. Thank you.![]()

Rob, back in the mad world after three weeks in paradise! Great trip in every way. Kaingu was superb and Busanga Plains were definitely worth a visit (including a balloon ride); Chamilandu was superb and game sightings excellent. Mumbo Island was just wonderful (surprisingly, one of the highlights of the trip); then we had a good time at Mvuu before Huntingdon House (maybe an acquired taste and not quite what we were expecting but nevertheless worthwhile) then finishing up at Makulamadzi in Majete – a fab camp/lodge; great hosts and good guiding. Thanks again for getting our trip absolutely spot on!!![]()

Chris and family travelled around Malawi
Michele, Thanks for arranging what was a fantastic trip to Malawi. Danforth Lodge – a really great place to stay. Howard and Michelle were excellent hosts and their core team were likewise. Mumbo Island – this was the highlight of the trip for Lucy. We really loved the place and the unique accommodation. Being in a lake the water was safe and we could kayak, snorkel and swim to our hearts content. Mvuu Camp – really enjoyed this different type of safari. This was our first safari that was more bird focussed and for me it delivered. The Shire river is beautiful and birdlife on its banks is plentiful. We saw the Pels Fishing Owl and Lilians Lovebirds…along with all the kingfishers, a wide range of herons and a whole host more. The mix of the three quite different main destinations really made this trip and three days in each provided the right balance. Malawi is a beautiful country and the lack of any big scale tourism is a real bonus…ensuring that what it has to offer is largely unspoilt. Many thanks again for arranging this trip.![]()
