Fran, it was marvellous! It more than met our expectations. Savannah was amazing and we loved the safaris. We saw the big 5 and more! After Savannah we felt Waterberry Lodge seemed low key but by the time we left it was – for both of us – the top place we had stayed. So wonderfully relaxing! And the staff (everywhere) were lovely. We will (and have already) recommend Safari Consultants to other people. The service was just excellent. Who knows – maybe another trip could be a possibility! Thank you!

Hi Michele, we had a fantastic time and my parents couldn’t stop smiling. Everything was as we wanted, great trip and looking forward to our next one.

Dear Mary, we had a fabulous time in Botswana; it definitely exceeded our expectations. The lodges were all fantastic and different from each other. We enjoyed each one and were very sad to leave. The staff and guides were wonderful and we learned huge amounts about the wildlife. Tongabezi was a very luxurious way to end our holiday and we really felt completely spoilt! It was the perfect antidote to spending hours in jeeps bouncing along on bumpy tracks (although we actually really enjoyed that!). Esme absolutely loved every moment and became our official wildlife photographer which she loved. Thank you again for organising our trip with so much care and attention to detail. It has been truly life-changing and we will cherish the memories.

Dear Mary, I promised a few comments from what has been a wonderful holiday. The plan to base our holiday on the Zambia bank of the Zambezi, opposite where we had our honeymoon was perfect – you have now organised South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Zanzibar for us, and goodness knows how many for friends. We have loved each part of every trip. Our 2 super-highlights? Perhaps Sosian when the children were younger, and now Tusk and Mane Mobile Camping. It is the variety of textures and activities within these two settings combined with the outstanding and very personal organisation and delivery of every minute in a private setting that made them our favourite moments. Kyle and his fiancee Sarah put a huge amount of effort into making sure everything was as we hoped. Kayaking through crocodiles devouring a dead hippo (we lost count at 60 and they really were that close to our kayak and had to be pushed off), fishing (William caught the biggest Tigerfish in memory on that stretch of the river – first cast), then a surprise with Kyle showing him how to open his first bottle of “champagne” for an early birthday present, early morning drives watching 3 male lions playing together before resting, elephant galore eating from the trees, followed by a couple of hours peaceful walking in quite the most beautiful woodland. There were night drives to see new borne leopard and in the “quiet” 2 hours after lunch Kyle would take me fly fishing on my own, casting right into hippo pods where the tigers lurked – and all with almost no one else around. You have found a great new adventure here. I’d strongly recommend 4 nights as we did. Clive at Purple Patch Transfers and Tours was wonderfully colourful and hands on in Vic Falls and looked after us incredibly well. Pumulani really does have spectacular villas. We were again very lucky to be almost alone there so had wall to wall activities every day. So much for resting! Swimming with countless cichlids, tough walks up the hills, kayaking, pico sailing, dhow cruises, star gazing, paddle boarding, water skiing and tubing amongst the activities we did. A heart felt thank you again for your patience and advice. It has been a truly wonderful trip.

Dear Mary, we have had the most fabulous time and have been singing your praises to anyone who will listen! I shall write in more detail later but we have packed every second of the trip with adventures. And loved every moment. With Tusk and Mane, and Kyle and Sarah, you have achieved the near impossible given what you have arranged for us before. Providing the happiest holiday moments of our lives. It is simply exceptional.

David and Eileen from Northumberland travelled to Zambia

Dear Rob, very many thanks for everything you did to ensure that our holiday was a success. We have the most marvellous memories. Latitude 15 is an excellent place to draw breath and enjoy very comfortable, generous accommodation, wonderful interior design and first class food. The flights and connections all worked perfectly, and we were impressed by the efficiency of Proflight for our internal flights. Tours Africa were very professional with their “meet and greet” and their assistance with departure check-ins was appreciated. Our self-organised week in Ndola was trouble-free and nostalgic. The safari camps were very luxurious, and totally different in character. Old Mondoro is more intimate and Michelle and Sebastian are excellent hosts, paying attention to every detail whilst enjoying the company of the ever-changing collection of visitors. The guides were excellent, and we had wonderful fun enjoying the close proximity of the wildlife and birdlife. Chiawa too was first-class and welcoming, with a quite different ambiance. Again we were looked after to the minutest detail, and couldn’t fault their standards and friendliness. Of particular value to us in both camps was the exceptional ornithological knowledge of the guides James (OM) and Moses (C), and they soon realised that that is what we were most keen on. We have the greatest respect for all the staff who worked so hard to ensure that the clients were happy.

Leonard and Elizabeth from Baltimore travelled to Zambia

Hi Rob, here is our opinion on the camps we have visited. No. 1, hands down, is Old Mondoro! No.2, we would say was Kaingo. Their hides were a special treat, the hosts delightful and the food exceptional. And the baboons across our roof were a reminder that we were in their territory! No.3, Bilimungwe. The hostess was exceptional and the resident hippo was quite entertaining to watch. The accommodations were quite spacious and comfortable—hard to remember you were in a somewhat wild place. No. 4. Busanga Bush Camp. We were glad we had the experience at this camp, but with that said, the rides were about the roughest we have experienced in our 7 trips to various parts of Africa. The camp was very good—good food, careful about safety, accommodating to our needs and with comfortable lodging. The opportunity for a balloon ride was a special treat. Above all, Rob, thanks for your patience and excellent assistance in making both our Zambia trips wonderful experiences.

Jeffrey and Karen from Washington travelled to Zambia

Dear Rob, we did have a great time. All the camps were wonderful, especially Old Mondoro. The setting was just magical. There was much to do, with activities on the river added to the usual game drives. The food and service were outstanding. The other two camps were very nice as well, especially the first in South Luangwa. Beautiful camp, lovely host. The third camp was my least favourite, but still very nice. As you know, it is out in the middle of the plain. A totally different experience. The balloon ride there was much fun. Thank you for all your help. You made it very easy.

Hi Rob, it is good to hear from you. It helps to remind me of the great trip that we had. Each of the camps was terrific in its’ own right. My favorite as you could probably guess was Old Mondoro. Everything about it was phenomenal and was topped off with our seeing a Pangolin the last night that we were there. Bilimungwe was such fun and Alex felt more like a friend than a host. I probably would not return to Kafue. Though the camp was okay it wasn’t up to the same standard as the first two. However, I loved the hot air balloon ride so that made it all worthwhile. Overall, it was a terrific trip and your planning and logistical arrangements were seamless. I have already spoken to others about you and Safari Consultants and will continue to recommend you in the future. Thank you again for planning this wonderful adventure.

Paul and Jennifer from Bath travelled to South Africa and Zambia

Hi Rob, another excellent holiday in Zambia – thank you very much! We were fortunate in having 3 outstanding guides – Shaun at Kaingo, Patrick at Mwamba, and Chris at Tena Tena. Having never previously seen wild dogs in Zambia before, we were lucky enough to see 4 separate packs on a total of 7 or 8 occasions, including following them onto, but not actually witnessing, a kill. They’re on a roll! Other highlights and new experiences for us included two daylight leopard kills (one close-by leaping from a sausage tree onto a poor puku, and the other seen on the opposite river bank), and a herd of 17 Eland. Otherwise we saw all that we could expect – apart from the elusive aardvark! It was a bit hotter than we expected; it heated up a few days before our arrival to about 38-40C. So our plan of going early in September (instead of late September/ October) to avoid the really hot temperatures didn’t quite work out! Thank you again for all your help and advice for another wonderful experience.
