Paul and Jennifer travelled to the South Luangwa Valley in Zambia
Dear Rob, back again from one of your incredibly well planned and executed safaris! Another wonderful experience – thank you. If I’ve marked Mwamba down slightly, it certainly isn’t because we didn’t enjoy it! We just felt that it wasn’t run quite as well as Kaingo. The guides were excellent. Tena Tena was a lovely camp in a wonderful area and a good way to finish – as you said, perhaps a bit more luxurious/customer care than Kaingo. Also we felt the food at Tena Tena was better suited to us – less carbs/cakes and better meal times/arrangements than Kaingo. However, we felt the hides and extra activities at Kaingo/Mwamba certainly made up for any slight detriment on that score. Thank you very much yet again for all your help and work to produce another excellent holiday. We still have dreams of visiting Botswana again but may have to wait a few years!

Paul and Ruth travelled to South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi in Zambia
Dear Rob, once again we would like to thank you for an amazing holiday! We were known as ‘ the lucky’ couple and people wanted to go on a drive with us because we were lucky enough to see so much action! We saw the Hollywood Pride try three times to make a kill, and even nearly had the ‘prey’ land in our jeep with the lioness following! We watched in awe as another lion pride of twelve, very skilfully set up their prey and make a kill, with a couple fighting over part of the bushbuck! Paul got stuck on a boat with three elephants drinking from the river up close and very personal! We had eight elephants join our chalet one day and one nearly joined us in the chalet he was so close, then three gave an amazing show swimming right in front of us before crossing the water! We were lucky enough to see two honey badgers in the day straight after seeing a civet in the day! We saw the most leopards in an evening this season, with one with three cubs eleven months old and one with one cub about six months old. We saw hyenas robbing a leopard of it’s kill while it just watched from a tree. We saw a leopard mating pair ‘in the act!’ We even saw, right in front of us a lioness attempt to attack a leopard by sneaking up on it beside our jeep! Thank goodness it made it up a tree! Well as you can tell, we had an incredible time. The lodges were great and the guides and people we met along the way were interesting too! We met a family who you also had organised their holiday for, who were singing your praises too! We look forward to your ideas and suggestions for our next safari, it will certainly take some beating, we feel. Thank you again.

Graham, Jo, Rob, Will and Ellie travelled as a family to the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi in Zambia
Dear Rob, we can’t thank you enough for organising our safari so well. The choice of camps was excellent. Robin’s House was a perfect place to start, very comfortable and the chef excelled himself. Having started a drive almost as soon as we got there, we were lucky to find 2 lioness with 3 cubs feasting on a young Zebra – and young Will’s comment (aged almost 14) at the end of the day was “that was the best day of my life”. Obi, our guide, interacted so well with the young and amazed us all by the depth of his knowledge, especially on our walk through the bush. Tafika surprised us all by being even better. We felt we really were living in the bush. John, Carol, Heather and their staff were very welcoming. Amon, Bryan and Isaac were again profoundly knowledgeable about the birds and animals and their behaviour. We did not think the variety of game was quite as wide in the Lower Zambezi as in South Luangwa. But Old Mondoro itself is very special and even wilder. We all loved Old Mondoro, the extra adventures in canoes and boats. It was the perfect place to end a holiday that none of us will ever forget. Two very special features of all the camps were that they were very small and secondly that we seldom saw another vehicle. Both grandchildren fell in love with Zambia and camp life and are determined to return one day. It was certainly the most exciting experience of their lives. We much enjoyed meeting your loyal clients, Paul and Ruth at Tafika and Old Mondoro. They too speak very highly of your advice and organisation over many years. Thank you again.

Hi Michele, Paddy and I would like to thank you for putting together yet again a perfect holiday for us. We did our best to explain to you what we hoped to experience in Africa and, like magic, it all happened, just like last time. We couldn’t be more pleased or impressed with your company. Every bit of your advice was spot on. It just couldn’t have been better. All in all, if I say that I came back having experienced the bush in as authentic a way as I would ever dare to want and met people whom I will never forget because they affected me in a variety of ways, I hope that that will do as a sound bite for my time in Zambia.

Hi Michele, thanks for arranging such a superb holiday – we didn’t get a Pel’s we got 2 thanks! Just a little feedback – Kaingo – fantastic atmosphere with an excellent guide (Andrew). He was probably one of the best we have had anywhere. Both Izzy & Yvonne made us feel like old friends and very welcome. We got the Pel’s here thanks to Andrew’s hard work. Luangwa Bush Camp Walking Safari – a completely different experience & one we would thoroughly recommend – Rob sends his regards and what a really nice guy he was. Old Mondoro – lovely camp & beautiful setting. Jason & Mikaela were great hosts & the Anniversary Dinner they arranged for us on our deck was very special. We had the best ever leopard sightings here.

Hi Michele, we had a fantastic trip, and very many thanks to you for putting it together for us, and for making it all work so smoothly. We were really pleased with all the places we stayed at but of them all the Kanana Mekoro Trail and Footsteps were probably our favourites. We also met lots of very friendly and interesting people along the way, both guides and holiday makers. Probably the highlights for me were:- looking over Victoria Falls from Livingstone Island where we went for brunch from Waterberry; watching Elephants crossing 50m in front of our Mekoro on KMT; walking up to lions at Footsteps; seeing a leopard up the tree with a dead sitatunga above our campfire at Footsteps; seeing a lioness with 4 week old cubs at Savuti; seeing the star-scape and the Milky Way after sundowners each night; flying up front in little planes over the Okavango! The itinerary worked perfectly for us, and we are very grateful for all your advice and good planning on our behalf. Thanks once again.

Dear Bill, we had a fabulous time! Everything went smoothly. The brief flu was just a minor hiccup, and my bearers carried me to the lunar rainbow, which was one of the most splendid sights of my life. It can be viewed quite fully from the Zambian side, and the folks at Waterberry were wonderfully accommodating in arranging things with your input. As you know, Russell is a complete delight, and he crammed in as much information as our thick skulls would admit. Thanks so much for all your hard work on our behalf. I do hope you’ll stop in if you ever get to New Orleans.
