Rob and Bill, we’ve made it home from our wonderful trip. Thanks to you for the great organisation. On the whole, the South Luangwa portion was great and the camps were top notch. We found some spectacular landscapes, with long open views and green grass. Good people and great guides. Kafue was even better than expected. Phil and Tyrone have a unique opportunity to develop their area. They’re young, have the energy, have the proper ethos of engagement with their wildlife, a sense of style and know their stuff. These guys deserve the support you can give them. Many thanks again and I look forward to staying in touch.

Dear Rob, it was a wonderful trip and we were so lucky with game – five leopards on one night drive seems to have been an Amanzi record! I also saw my second Pel’s Fishing owl after 16 years waiting. Amanzi Camp was Excellent. Wonderful location, spacious and comfortable accommodation, very good food and service throughout the camp. Patrick our guide was superb. He had an uncanny knack of always knowing exactly where the leopard would be. Bilimungwe – Excellent. Much more rustic, spacious and comfortable accommodation with the added benefit of an outdoor shower. Alex the camp manager was terrific. Our guide Charles was extremely good and it was only on the last night that I realised he had been our guide for the few days we spent in the Luangwa on an Art Safari trip in 2008. Kaingo Camp was excellent in so many ways, with amazing food a great ambiance and the hides. The landscape was extraordinary and the leadwood forest utterly beautiful. There was plentiful game and it was a special privilege to walk with Derek Shenton. Thanks again for organising such a fantastic trip to Zambia, which I enjoyed so very much. Every day was amazing with excellent guides and unbelievable game.

Rob, I know we have spoken on the phone since we returned from Africa but it would be remiss of me not to write and thank you. I asked when we were planning this trip that I wanted an adventure and to create memories for my family and in particular my children. You did this and beyond, we have all loved it and the brief has been fulfilled and more. All 3 camps you chose were superb in their own individual ways and gave us such pleasure. The activities you recommended were brilliant with particular mention for Devils pool and the sleep out platform. We loved all the camps but particular mention for Kanana and in particular our guide Robbie who went above and beyond for our children and not only gave them a fabulous safari but nothing was too much trouble to make sure they had a great time. Rob thank you very much, you understood my brief 100%. Please keep in touch and I will start saving our pennies for next time.

Mary, we will send you more details in a few days, but want you to know right away that everything was perfect. The camps were fun and interesting, especially Kuyenda! The staff were great. But our guide . . . we thought Frank at SGS Africa was wonderful . . . but young Suzyo tops him, hands down. It was an incredible week. Thank you so much. (We keep saying after each trip that this will be the last. But you never know?)

Hi Michele, we had an absolutely amazing time and could have stayed forever! All of the camps were fantastic, we met some lovely people and had incredible experiences. We witnessed the Kaingo/Mwamba pride of lions kill an impala. The next night we arrived at a kill just after it had happened, a leopard had taken a young puku and the mother was still standing there calling. The leopard took it up a tree and tucked in. We thoroughly enjoyed the night spent at the elephant hide although it was so hot that night. It was one of those experiences that we will never forget, laying there listening to all of the night sounds wondering how far away they are! We also witnessed 2 leopards fighting over a kill up a tree, the leopard that had made the kill was left dangling from a branch by 1 paw which again I caught on film. We sat just by the tree drinking our sundowners in the jeep watching these 2 leopards snarling and hissing at each other. Fantastic!! The Luangwa bush camping was a great experience and we were the only guests so it was very enjoyable. We saw our 1st wild dogs here, 2 separate packs on 2 separate days. Old Mondoro was stunning. Our room faced the lagoon which was filled with water hyacinths and just sitting watching so many animals enjoying the water was brilliant. We counted 29 elephants on 1 day but also had buffalo, baboon, waterbuck, impala and loads of birds. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from being woken by the drums, sitting in the Last Waterhole Hide, so many animal sightings, eating toast & porridge cooked over the fire, the night sounds, the sunrise and sunset, walking, sundowners, the list goes on! Thanks you so much for arranging everything so perfectly again, it was all perfect! We have so many photos but will email some when we have picked out the best.

Hi Frances, just wanted to say a massive thank you to you for our amazing holiday. We loved every moment of our holiday. Each base was so diversely different so there was no time to be bored with a place, but new discoveries were always there to be had. The safari was out of this world. We saw the ‘big five’ and so much more. Waterberry Lodge was also a highlight for me. It was so serene and relaxing after our early mornings on safari.
