Christopher and Alison from London travelled to Malawi and Zambia

Kaya Mawa was as good as promised. We had a beautiful room. The food was first class. The service excellent and friendly. We had a very relaxing week diving, walking, canoeing and reading. We were very happy in the North and South Luanwga. We tended to walk in the mornings and simply watch in the afternoons either from our hut or from the river bank after a short walk. The Chikoko and Crocodile bush camps in the South Luangwa were both charming and comfortable. Thank you Mary for arranging this for us.

Cristiano and Valentina from Italy travelled to South Africa and Zambia

Hi Rob, regarding game viewing, it was a great experience, very different from Kenya. The possibility of such close encounters was amazing. The guides were all very competent. Among the highlights, the high number of leopards seen but most of all, the group of wild dogs that we saw in both areas. All lodges and camps were very good.

Hywel and Judith travelled to South Luangwa National Park in Zambia and Lake Malawi

Tafika accommodation and staff were fantastic – our hut was on the river bank with beautiful views. Walking safari was excellent –they will take you out for 4-5 hrs if you are up to it, brilliant not seeing any other traffic/walkers whilst we were out. Food excellent, game drives good and microlite flight was amazing. Chindeni in a beautiful spot on the lagoon – we had fantastic accommodation, right on lagoon and our tent was by itself – not overlooked at all – nice interior and outside hammock! Food brilliant, hospitality amazing, safari walks were fantastic and drives were excellent. Very relaxed and informal but well run, again, we didn’t see other jeeps whilst out in the evenings. Zambia is a beautiful country and somehow felt more “WILD” and natural than some other regions in Africa (although all are fantastic as far as I am concerned)! Loved our stay on Likoma Island. Lake swimming excellent – lots of activities on offer without spoiling the feeling of peace and quiet. You gave us an amazing and very memorable trip to Africa. Thank you.

David and Kirsten from Tyne and Wear travelled to Botswana and Victoria Falls on a self-driving camping trip

Hi Mary. Overall, it was the most amazing adventure. The start of our trip at Kanana was incredible. We did every activity available to us at every available opportunity. The inner Okavango Delta was so beautiful and we could easily have spent our entire trip there. Then we come to the camping part. Thank you so much for listening and understanding our needs as this was exactly what we were looking for… and so much more. At Third Bridge, you had to hardly leave camp to see all of the game. We saw two cheetahs, a pack of 9 wild dogs on multiple occasions and lions. The highlight of the game viewing was watching wild dogs chase off a young male lion as it had eyes on their kill, closely followed by watching wild dogs hunt for impala. Amazing. At Savuti camp, we got our first leopard spot. It was right next to the road relaxing under a tree. Such a beautiful animal. The landscape at Savuti was tailor made for viewing cats, especially down by the marsh. So different to anywhere else we have been. We managed to spot a pride of lions here, 5 in total with a Zebra kill. The long drive to Linyanti was totally worth it. Such a beautiful remote part of Chobe. At Waterberry, the setting was beautiful and we enjoyed a nice sundowner cruise along the Zambezi on our first night. Our full day in Zambia was obviously spent at the falls and we loved it. We took a Huey helicopter ride over the falls which words can’t describe how amazing it was. I even did a bungee jump of the bridge too! Thank you once again for all of your help planning this, we will certainly be in touch again at some point in the future.

John and Jennifer from Berkshire travelled to Kafue, South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks in Zambia

Hello, Rob. We had another hugely enjoyable holiday with just the right sequence of camps..Old Mondoro was the cherry on the cake, a wonderful finale. The accommodation in all four lodges was aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable; the staff were welcoming and the guides excellent. Food everywhere was ample and tasty/delicious. All our ornithological needs were more than catered for by our exceptional guide at Kaingo, Andrew, (probably the best we’ve ever had). We loved Old Mondoro and would return every year if we could. We had a very good guide, Wallace, who really knew his birds and we had some excellent game drives and boat trips with him. All the staff were extremely pleasant and obliging. We had elephants in the camp now and then and breakfast on our last morning was interrupted by a quick dash in a vehicle to view three lions passing through.

Martyn, Jayne and their daughter Cara from Leicester travelled to Zambia and Botswana

Hi Rob, we had a fantastic trip. Livingstone has been spruced up slightly since our last visit. The Falls were magnificent, best we have ever seen them. I would recommend this time of year to anyone who wants to see the falls. Islands of Siankaba was the best we’ve ever seen the place. The food was fantastic, the staff are all great, I can’t say enough about how pleasant, friendly and obliging all of the staff were. Kwando Lagoon – WOW – was as good as most of the camps I have been to in Botswana. The tented thatched rooms were enormous, the biggest rooms of any lodge I have ever stayed in. We all had a great time on each part of our trip, I was so glad to visit Africa again, Cara got so much out of the trip and best of all wants to go back!

Anthony and Barbara from Kent travelled to see Victoria Falls and northern Botswana

Dear Rob, just to let you know we are safely back after a great holiday. All arrangements went beautifully and all lodges were excellent with good food and friendly staff. Overall, we were very happy with our holiday even though animal viewing in Botswana was not as good as Kenya and East Africa. However, we had a good balance of interesting birds and animals, which is what we wanted. We would definitely recommend all lodges and all your arrangements and connections worked extremely well – no hitches at all. So thank you for organising such a good holiday for us and we will definitely pass on our recommendation to use Safari Consultants in the future and would definitely use you again for trips to Africa! I’ll do a more detailed report of various experiences later, but just want to say thank you for organising the trip which was a great success!
