Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud and fortunate to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers, who also recommend our services to their friends, family and colleagues, or even fellow travellers they meet on safari. Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. Please also visit the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) feedback site to see reviews on our services and our clients’ experiences.

Dear Rob, I am writing to thank you for arranging our safari. We had a wonderful time, even though it rained every afternoon! The Kicheche camps exceeded our expectations – the service and food were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The game viewing was great, we even saw wild dogs, something we had never seen before, the guides were all full of knowledge with a desire to share their information. We had a wonderful time on our last morning watching Acacia (leopard) and her cub up a tree with only one other vehicle to start with and then on our own – a fantastic ending to a great holiday. It was over far too soon. Once again many thanks.

Hello, Rob. I realise I’ve probably given you enough feedback over the phone for you to close our file for a while but I’m indulging in ‘get-over-the-holiday’ therapy by putting our response in writing. It was unanimously agreed it was a superb holiday, perfectly balanced between serious safari and some fun, more relaxing time on the beach and at Sosian. It was hugely successful because it had been planned with expert detailed knowledge and a sensitive grasp of our particular requirements. All the lodges gave us a warm welcome and you’d obviously prepared them well. Possibly particularly because we were a family, it was all very good fun and we learnt a tremendous amount too. Mwagusi was a wonderful start; we’re so glad you suggested that. We did have one or two close encounters with elephants, but we survived and it makes an excellent story. Impala was perfect for the family and the proximity of the river added an extra dimension with fishing and river trips. Matemwe was perfect at that stage of the holiday, once the village had been negotiated! Giraffe Manor was expensive, again as you observed, but worth every penny for a unique experience. We all loved Sosian. Kicheche Mara provided a fitting finale. Everybody loved it particularly the setting and the views from the tents were the best of the whole holiday. Emakoko:thank you. Brillant suggestion and it worked well. A perfect holiday with ideal planning for three generations of one family. Safari Consultants attention to detail is impressive. Thanks again, it was gloriously successful and happy.

Dear Bill, well I must start by saying that it exceeded our highest hopes and expectations. Gaye and I have safaried in Kenya four times before and so had standards by which to judge the visit. The travel arrangements worked without a hitch. Serian was absolutely perfect for our family. Roisin and her team looked after us so well, food and drink excellent. The guides and drivers were very knowledgeable and had razor sharp eyes. And so, reluctantly leaving Serian, on to Ras Nungwi. Luxury and great comfort. Apart from the difficulty of ordering food for 16 people we were very well looked after. A very good hotel with superb location. We could not have enjoyed our holiday more and thank you so much for your highly efficient organisation.

Hi Rob, we just got back from Tanzania and had a great holiday. Mwagusi was the full bush experience with excellent game-viewing and great bush guides, seperate drivers and good vehicles. Selous Safari Camp was a lovely camp and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. However, the game driving at Selous was a bit of a disappointment. The guide doubled as driver which I know is not unusual but I think, that with other factors, it is indicative that this camp’s focus is more on the camp facilities rather than the game viewing. I hope this is helpful for your information and will come back to you next time I plan a safari trip.

Dear Bill. In short, it was a wonderful experience both for us and for the grandchildren both of whom really grew up and thoroughly enjoyed everything they had seen including the trip through the African Village which we laid on from Waterberry. Thank you so much for organising it so well. It was perfect for them in that it covered all sorts and they learnt so much from it.

Hi Rob and team, Just to say thank you so much for organising such a fantastic holiday for us. Every part of it was exciting and memorable, (sometimes a little too exciting!) and the variety was perfect. Both Impala camp and Kicheche Mara were fantastic. The setting of Kicheche Mara, especially, was stunning. Our guide at Impala, Gerard, was particularly great. He was brilliant with the kids and was a real inspiration to a budding zoologist like James. Similarly, Rosie and especially Simon at Sosian, were also fantastic with James and Imo. Simon made there stay a real ‘adventure’. They both felt very at home there! Giraffe Manor, as expected, was a completely memorable experience for everyone, and a real treat. Zanzibar provided a perfect bit of relaxation (not to mention a bit of education for us all) and the staff gave James a very special 12th birthday. Emakoko laid on 8 Rhino (2 extra in addition to the 6 that Jen had jokingly requested on entering the park!) plus a first class supper. Once again thanks very much for your hard work, it was very much appreciated.

Hi Mary, on arrival my son (16 years) said that he wasn`t sure that he “would be able to handle this” when we were met by Zoy and Julia and their team of 4 who all turned out to meet us on the lawn. He soon settled into it as you do. The food & service were wonderful . They all seemed to deliver what you wanted just before you realised that that was exactly what you wanted at that moment. Our Ranger Jami was a great fund of knowledge about the mammals, birds, fauna and even the clouds. He shared this knowledge in a very inclusive way, that made you want to know more. Thanks for arranging everything. I have written to Kwandwe to congratulate them on the whole experience and their staff.

Hi Mary & Bill, just a note to say thank you very much for organising my Tanzania safari. The safari was fantastic and both Beho Beho and Mwagusi were great. The transport all worked perfectly and everywhere (except Dar Airport!) I encountered politeness, charm and helpful people. I loved the adventure coupled with comfort! I fell in love with Beho Beho – such a beautiful place with a real houseparty feel, superb managers, amazing food and great guiding – I can’t fault it. I loved the walking safaris, did 3 there and went on to do another at Ruaha. I also liked the fact you hardly see any other vehicles at Beho Beho. At Mwagusi we had really great game viewing and saw cheetah and leopard cubs, lots of lion (including six suckling cubs) and plenty of elephant (my favourite as they are so interesting). There were a few more vehicles but not many – I am so glad I did not go to the North! Thanks for recommending Mwagusi – I was a bit unsure when I first saw it but it has a lovely peaceful ambience and the guiding was top class. It is nice to see local people trained so well there but also using their own instinctive knowledge and clearly well looked after. The country is very different in Selous and Ruaha so they make a good combination and the flights were also fun – I was able to sit in the ‘co-pilot’s’ seat a couple of times so had great views of the country. Overall a fantastic holiday.

Mwagusi was excellent in every respect. Mwagusi is a camp we intend to visit again and will advise all and sundry to go there and enjoy it and Ruaha in general. Inspired recommendation for which we thank you – one of our top safari trips ever!

Dear Rob, thank you so much for organizing the beautiful trip. We really enjoyed our honeymoon and are very pleased and very happy with the professionalism of your company and the respective local partners. We very much appreciated the great itinerary with selection of parks and the camp selection. The personalization of service in Sayari was just amazing and they made everything happen where they could think you could like it, e.g they organized a condle light dinner on the terrace of our tent. The service there was simply amazing and super friendly. If we are planning to go back to Africa, we will definately contact you.
