Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud and fortunate to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers, who also recommend our services to their friends, family and colleagues, or even fellow travellers they meet on safari. Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. We had a wonderful time. Everything went like clockwork. Lake Manze – great camp, great guides, we loved Selous. Mdonya – Great Camp. Kwihala – Excellent camp, best guides of the trip (knowledge and approach to wildlife viewing), Ruaha was great and so quiet (people wise).![]()

I have recently returned from a two week safari trip to Botswana. I travelled on my own at the age of 80 years. I was rather apprehensive about the whole trip, I needn’t have been so, everything was well arranged. I felt safe and happy and had a wonderful trip, and it was a fantastic experience, the staff were so kind and helpful. I could recommend a safari trip to anyone of my age if fit. Thank you Safari Consultants, I wouldn’t change a thing.![]()

Mary, just a line to say thank you for all the arrangements and advice for the trip, everything worked perfectly. Kicheche Bush Camp was excellent, the tents and other facilities were to a high standard and all the staff went out of their way to make sure that we wanted for nothing.![]()

Dear Mary, thanks to you and the team at Safari Consultants for all of your care and attention – I really appreciate it. Although we were staying at the same camp (and in my case the same tent!) the trip was a complete change from last year. The very different make up of the group, the change of manager at the camp, the long grass as a result of the rains in June, and the consequent lateness of the migration all made for a totally different, but equally enjoyable, experience. The highlight of the trip for me was when a cheetah jumped on to the roof of the jeep, literally inches from me – what an experience. I was standing up at the time and yes, I did keep shooting!! The one thing which did not change was the superb service provided by everyone in Africa, including our drivers in Nairobi, our guides in the Mara, all the camp staff, and most importantly, the team of chefs. I look forward to using your services again in the not too distant future.![]()

Well what can we say but what a truly wonderful trip. We did not want to come home. Everything was fantastic. Simon and Olivia were the perfect hosts, even looking after the people who were ill, like their own family. The guides and staff at the camp were fantastic as well. And your organisation of the trip was very good. I don’t think there is a mark higher than 10 out of 10, but there should be. Can’t wait to go back and we will return. Thank you so much.![]()

Good morning Rob, I would like to thank you for all the help you gave me when I missed my connection to Nairobi. I was so pleased you were at the end of a phone to help sort me out. I finally met up with my luggage a week later. Taking your advices though I packed a back pack with extra clothes and toiletries. I had a fabulous holiday but found the long drives on poor roads a little tiring. It is a wonderful country and the people were friendly and always had a smile for us. The accommodation was excellent and the food very good. All of us were in good health throughout the holiday. Once again thank you for all your help.![]()

Good afternoon Bill and Rob, some feedback as requested: Our guide Lalaina and our driver Njiva were excellent, as was our guide, Petrice, at Vakona Lodge. His knowledge of birds was fantastic and his ability to see minute species of chameleons and camouflaged birds was unbelievable. You were quite right to say not to do the night walk at Ranomafana. Laurie, our guide was sure that we would see the Mouse Lemur but as we were joined by 30 other tourists of the Mouse Lemur there was no sign. Laurie was another excellent guide, very caring of us old folk! The drive to Le Jardin du Roy was spectacular (we drove through two swarms of locusts) and the hotel wonderful. I have to say thank-you for arranging a birthday cake which was lovely. Everyone thought there was a power cut when the lights went out for the arrival of the candle lit cake! The holiday was an amazing experience even if there were one or two ‘should a grandmother really be doing this?’ moments. The poverty was some of the worst that we have ever seen, even so the people seem happy and friendly. It is worrying that the wildlife is still under threat. Tourism helps the economy and if there are no lemurs to see it will dry up.![]()

Michele, we had a fantastic time in both camps. They were quite different in several ways – personnel, organisation and atmosphere, but they made a perfect pairing. Our ranger at Tanda Tula was exceptional, not just aware of everything going on but also an interesting and informative dinner companion. Animals, all 32 species, couldn’t have been better, the big 5 in one and a half hour stretch at Tanda Tula and a rare kill in front of us by equally rare wild dogs at Nottens where highlights, as was a honey badger and civet at Tanda Tula. We will be in France on the day of your summer luncheon, but would like to thank you in particular, Michele, for the efficiency of your organisation and your ability to deal with all our concerns, however trivial. Thank you so much for everything and we very much hope we will need your services again!![]()

A great holiday and many thanks to you for putting it together; we really enjoyed ourselves. Overall the camps were very good and the staff and the service they provided were excellent. Very much enjoyed the remoteness and visitor density at Ruaha. For example on one drive we spent about an hour with a cheetah and never saw another land rover (in fact if a recall correctly we didn’t see another vehicle for the entire drive). I don’t think you get that in the Mara or even on the northern Tanzania circuit! We would certainly recommend the holiday, and Safari Consultants to anyone that was think of going on safari. We will be going back to Africa in the future, when we do we will certainly be in touch again.![]()
