A very wild and remote park offering primarily walking safaris. Less game than South Luangwa but also fewer visitors.
South Luangwa National Park
Zambia’s premier wildlife destination with superb game-viewing, varied habitats, excellent walking options and the beautiful and dynamic Luangwa River as the focal point. Especially good for leopard sightings.
Lower Zambezi National Park
A scenically stunning region dominated by the mighty Zambezi River. Good game-viewing is complemented by wonderful river activities, including canoeing, boating and fishing.
Kafue National Park
A huge and remote wilderness area with a good variety of habitat and game species. The Busanga Plains region in the north of the park is most productive for game.
Livingstone, Victoria Falls and the Upper Zambezi
Primarily offers access to Victoria Falls, the world’s widest waterfall, but the river is stunning and there is plenty to enjoy in the area from birding and game-viewing to cultural excursions and adrenalin sports.
