Seychelles

  • Another very successful holiday, our 7th organised by Safari Consultants. As always, they delivered everything we required in terms of itinerary, accommodation and transfers, and once again we benefited from their detailed first-hand knowledge of every property we used. Their meticulous attention to extra details makes life easier for someone of 76 with mobility problems, from ordering a wheelchair at airports to requesting a room nearest the main living area was much appreciated. Safari Consultants’ service is not just excellent, it is outstanding and has been so without exception ever since we first travelled with them. We would never consider using any other company to organise a holiday for us in southern or eastern Africa.

Map of The Seychelles

Please roll over the red lettering for information on those areas.
  • Tropic bird, Bird Island, Seychelles

    Bird Island

A nature lovers paradise named after the ‘sooty’ terns which descend in great numbers to breed. The one hotel on the island is reasonably simple in style.

  • Denis Island, Seychelles

    Denis Island

This is paradise, with perfect white beaches, wonderful swimming and snorkelling off the beach, and great scuba diving and fishing. The one hotel on the island is of a good standard, but not five star. Accessible by scheduled flight.

  • Praslin Island, Seychelles

    Praslin Island

The second largest island in the Seychelles, with many fantastic beaches and some good hotels. Also boasts the ‘Vallee de Mai’ Nature Reserve – a UNESCO World heritage site.

  • La Digue, Seychelles

    La Digue Island

The fourth largest island in the Seychelles, La Digue is a sleepy island with limited accommodation options but some fantastic beaches on the south of the island, which are reached by bicycle!

  • Fregate Island, Seychelles

    Fregate Island

A small ‘granitic’ island boasting one of the most luxurious and exclusive hotels in the Seychelles. Accessible by helicopter.

  • North Island, Seychelles

    North Island

A small ‘granitic’ island boasting possibly the most upmarket and exclusive (and expensive) beach property in the Seychelles. Accessible by helicopter.

  • Desroches Island, Seychelles

    Desroches Island

A remote island with some good beaches, lovely swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and fishing. The one hotel on the island is of a very good standard, but not five star. Accessible by scheduled flight.

  • Alphonse Island, Seychelles

    Alphonse Island

A very remote island which is known for its fly-fishing opportunities (late September through to May) rather than its beaches. The lodge has recently been rebuilt completely by new owners. Accessible by scheduled flight.

  • Mahe Island, Seychelles

    Mahe Island

The largest island in the Seychelles, with stunning scenery, many great beaches and a reasonable road network. Some fantastic five star resorts, but lacking in good mid-range hotels and more boutique style hotels.
