Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud and fortunate to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers, who also recommend our services to their friends, family and colleagues, or even fellow travellers they meet on safari. Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. Please also visit the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) feedback site to see reviews on our services and our clients’ experiences.

Hi Julia, our trip to Africa was fantastic and incredible – we are very grateful for all your work on our behalf. While we had high expectations going in, the trip, itinerary and people of Africa exceeded them. The gorillas were the highlight, although the other animals were also amazing. The amount of information and knowledge that the guides shared was equally amazing. We learnt so much in the two weeks, both about the animals and people. I recall mentioning on one of our calls that we were going into this as a once in a lifetime trip, and you mentioned that we might change our minds – you were right. We will go back to Africa at some point. Thanks for all your assistance and guidance. It made the trip special. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience for us.

Hi Michele, just a quick note to say thanks for all your help in organising and planning our honeymoon trip to Kenya and Zanzibar. It was perfect and by far the best trip we have ever done! The safari element was excellent with Ol Seki Hemingway’s being a perfect place for a first time Safari and our favourite part of the trip.

Hi Rob, another excellent holiday in Zambia – thank you very much! We were fortunate in having 3 outstanding guides – Shaun at Kaingo, Patrick at Mwamba, and Chris at Tena Tena. Having never previously seen wild dogs in Zambia before, we were lucky enough to see 4 separate packs on a total of 7 or 8 occasions, including following them onto, but not actually witnessing, a kill. They’re on a roll! Other highlights and new experiences for us included two daylight leopard kills (one close-by leaping from a sausage tree onto a poor puku, and the other seen on the opposite river bank), and a herd of 17 Eland. Otherwise we saw all that we could expect – apart from the elusive aardvark! It was a bit hotter than we expected; it heated up a few days before our arrival to about 38-40C. So our plan of going early in September (instead of late September/ October) to avoid the really hot temperatures didn’t quite work out! Thank you again for all your help and advice for another wonderful experience.

Hi Frances, just wanted to write to thank you for all your help arranging our recent holiday to Kenya. You were always very helpful. All the arrangements were fantastic as were the places we stayed. The view from the lounge at Tortilis over the watering hole and the bush beyond was lovely, as was the view from our tent at Kicheche Mara Camp; we had elephants and baboons coming right up to the tent. The migration has not really happened this year, so the Mara was empty compared to what it should be this time of year. That was a little disappointing but we saw the Big 5 and we had some good sightings including a lion hunt, although they just missed out on catching a warthog.

Hi Michele, another really wonderful trip and great contrast to the ‘Pangolin’ one. Much more ‘classic’ sightings, but the quality of the sighting was amazing!

Dear Rob, we have just returned from Kenya having had a wonderful time. The choice of accommodation worked really well in combination, each being different with varying terrain and wildlife. Lewa House was an excellent first stop and felt very much like being a house guest on a private estate (which effectively we were!). Sophie and Callum are great hosts and the game viewing excellent. It was great to see the abundant Rhino populations including a two week old new addition. Saruni Samburu was a slightly different experience as you had said. The views from our room were truly spectacular with Rock Hyrax often only a few feet away. Kicheche Bush Camp was different again. The big cat viewing was particularly excellent. Highlights were a pride of fifteen lions walking past us in the early morning light, a cheetah with three playful cubs and a leopard up a tree in a typical pose. We saw a lion bring down a zebra and lions on kills having stand offs with hyenas, jackals and vultures. The food and guides were great in all three locations. Thanks very much for advising us and organising such a great trip. It is only a matter of time before we start thinking about the next one.

Rob, just a brief note to say a huge thank you for organising such a fantastic trip to Uganda for us. Everything was brilliant and the mountain gorilla trekking experience is one that will live with us both for the rest of our lives – amazing! Hassan was a fantastic guide and friend – and everyone seemed to know him wherever we went. His birding knowledge is sensational and we racked up 311 species during the trip but missed out on the Chocolate Kingfisher in the Royal Mile and the Shoebill in the Delta but did get some crackers…..Scenery everywhere was simply breath-taking – including the crater lakes; and of course Murchison Falls and the Nile. We saw an incredible array of primates including the chimps in Kibale and a L’Hoest’s monkey sitting on our bed in Buhoma; a lone gorilla crossing the road in front of us while we were birding in front of the lodge in Buhoma; plus a close encounter with a three metre long spitting cobra in Bigodi Swamp. Lodges and locations all so different that it is almost impossible to compare – however, the Masindi Hotel was interesting! Thanks again and look forward to our next African odyssey…..you guys have delivered yet again….!

Frances, just a short note to say we had a wonderful time in Zambia, at the Falls, and in Botswana at all the camps. We saw far more wildlife in natural situations than we expected. In fact one of the experienced trackers at Lebala said we saw things between lions and cheetah that he had never seen in all his experiences! I took about 2400 pictures and have hundreds that are fantastic. Most importantly, the logistics, the itinerary, the level of service at the camps were all great…your planning was excellent! Thanks for planning a great trip for us!

Hello Frances, thank you so much for putting together the itinerary for our fabulous trip to Zambia and South Africa. It was all marvelous. Standout highlights were Waterberry, Kambaku and Grootbos but it was all great. It’s hard when you’ve already had one wonderful safari holiday to even match or beat that first experience but Kambaku River Sands was amazing and, yes, I did get to see my leopard, up a tree with her impala dinner while a lone hyena circled beneath. We saw the big five but also a mature rock python, hyena pups, one only a few days old, a giraffe suckling and the elephants drinking from the swimming pool.  Only the Zimbabwean elephants we saw from the sunset cruise on the banks of the Zambezi could match that. We were lucky with the weather in Cape Town and spent the day at the Kirstenbosch Gardens, Camps Bay and the Waterfront. Grootbos was absolutely fantastic and Lexie enjoyed 3 rides on her own with one of the guides. Many thanks for all your recommendations and help. We hope to plan another trip sometime.
