Hello Rob, the logistics all worked well and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip: without doubt the best so far. Kaingo was excellent and we would be happy to return. Patrick, our guide, was excellent; knowledgeable about wildlife and photography, a very able driver, excellent language skills – almost the perfect guide. The driving area was a beautiful mix of open plains, woodland and ravines. The beautiful Ebony grove was something special. Lions and Leopard abounded, with Leopards particularly well habituated and photogenic. Night drives were also productive, both for the different animals and reptiles seen but most particularly for the quality of the individual sightings. An excellent camp, well managed by Liz and Garth, nothing was too much trouble, a great place to stay. Old Mondoro Camp was Really, really outstanding. Among the highlights of our game drives were fourteen leopard sightings of nine different leopards in a twenty-four hour period. This included a family of mother, daughter and son who had killed a family of bush pigs (never before seen by us, and only seen a couple of times a year by the guides, what a pity to lose a whole family of such a rare animal!), only for them to lose their supper to a trio of intruder male lions. Night drives were particularly rewarding not only for the variety of wildlife but for their willingness to hold their ground and be photographed, notably civets, porcupines (18), genets, honey badgers as well as leopards and a number of nocturnal birds. I’m not sure how many it was, but we seemed to regularly be meeting Safari Consultants clients. Without you (and your colleagues) South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi would be a much quieter place!

Everything went well with the trip. Each of the camp managers saw our itinerary and all commented on how well organised it was and how it cut travelling time to a minimum. Safari Consultants clearly has a reputation as a good agent with which to work and has a reputation for having satisfied clients. All the lodges you recommended were outstanding.

Hi Rob, your itinerary and all arrangements worked superbly. Everything went according to plan. Selous Impala camp was a great finale as the rivers made such a change to the bush game drives. All of the camps were excellent in their different ways. Meals were imaginative, varied and tasty. All of the staff we met were very keen on what they were doing and wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our stay with them. All of our guides seemed to have real passion for the bush. All in all, another excellent trip organised by you and your team, Rob. You have done us proud and clearly have chosen good operators on the ground. Please pass on our thanks to all your team.

Frances, great holiday. We particularly enjoyed the Tok Tokkie and Footsteps walking trips, but appreciated the diversity of the programme and would not have wished to change the route. Overall brilliant! Thank you.

If you wanted to look for something to moan about, you would not be able to do so. Every aspect was truly amazing. The staff (all) at the lodge were so professional and friendly. My wife and I would recommend both yourself and the lodge to anybody. Robert Slater was so helpful to us.

Hi Rob, we had a superb time, Rissington Inn was extra interesting because the Rissingtons, after which it was named, are not far from us here in the Cotswolds and we understood the relevance of the pictures of American bombers! The highlights of the trip were the wild dogs and all the game that we saw, especially the pair of Honey Badgers that we saw out foraging in broad daylight in the Kruger, what a treat, never seen them before or expected to. Altogether a very good, stress free holiday, many thanks for your planning and organising.

Good Evening Michele, we would like to thank you for organising such a superb holiday which we are still in complete awe of. So many lasting memories have been created and we have never felt so at peace & relaxed on a holiday before. The whole itinerary ran faultlessly for which we thank you! The camps were superb with excellent guiding, fantastic food & a very high level of service & accommodation. For us you certainly achieved the ‘holiday away from humans’ and we can’t really believe we were there now that we are back to our pressured lives. Our sincerest thanks go out to you Michele along with all of the camp staff who made every moment spectacular. We are of course thinking of what comes next year…..Thank you once again Michele for your hard work & making this a holiday of a lifetime for us!
