Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed it. Ten days was not long enough and we would love to be able to travel with Letaka Safaris again. Pat was excellent. It was good to have a local guide who knew all about the area and wildlife. His in-depth knowledge of the fauna and flora was amazing. Michelle at Safari Consultants was very efficient and always responded to our e-mails straightaway. She sent us a lot of useful information.![]()

Dear Mary, it was brilliant! Laikipia Wilderness was so good, the accommodation was very comfortable, food delicious and all the staff very attentive and helpful. We saw the wild dogs on two separate days, and had two/three more FIRSTS – two genets, a zorilla having a tug of war with a jackal and apparently an Aardwolf but I think I blinked but Steve did confirm the den the next day. Kicheche was, as ever, brilliant, very comfortable, delicious food and wine, excellent guides, brilliant game drives. We will never believe a Kenyan again who asks if we would like to see a leopard! On our last night we had just finished a drink round the fire when the ‘askaris’ said they had spotted a leopard and took us down to the lake, shining bright torches along the bank where funnily enough no leopard was to be seen but we did not suspect that on our return we would find that the dining table had been moved under the stars and was beautifully decorated with leaves in heart shapes. For once the menu was not announced and we found out why when everyone came out singing and dancing, bringing a wonderfully decorated chocolate cake for dessert – we felt very special and very spoilt. Hemingways was Hemingways and we were greeted like long lost friends even though we hadn’t stayed there for four years. The weather was glorious and on our actual Anniversary once again we were presented with our dessert accompanied by much singing and dancing – I can’t think who could have told them!!!! All the arrangements went exactly as you planned and we are very gratefully too you for making this such a memorable trip. Many, many thanks again. We will certainly be in touch when we are organising our next trip.![]()

Dear Rob, We had a WONDERFUL holiday! We were very happy with the accommodation, especially Camps Bay Retreat and Falcons View in Knysna. Both have amazing views and a colonial feel and all the staff were very helpful. The food in both places was excellent too. The safari at Tanda Tula was amazing! Dale and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We saw a huge amount of game, including 3 rhino, 3 leopard, lions, buffalo and a jackal which was unusual. Our guide Scotch was very knowledgeable, especially about the birds and made the drives fun and interesting. Everything went smoothly, thank you very much for organising it. We have some wonderful memories and I hope we will go back to Africa before too long!![]()

I chose Russell Gammon because he was excellent as a guide and a fascinating person when I took my first safari. When I decided that my daughter and her family should see African wildlife, I then contacted Russell for a private tour. It was incredibly satisfying and a memorable experience for all. Safari Consultants Ltd. were also excellent, direct, honest and I felt very assured of a great itinerary and experience, well worth the money. Thank you very, very much!![]()

Hi Rob, we both thoroughly enjoyed the trip; we both liked Kenya, the hospitality and the hosting at the camps was great, the game viewing was great, the food generally excellent, the fellow guests were good company, the guides and drivers were of a high standard etc. Kicheche Valley with Brendon and Val was an outstanding camp – great setting, spacious very comfortable accommodation, excellent service, great food. One of the best camps we have stayed in – ever!![]()

The holiday was absolutely wonderful. Highlights – Tanda Tula – wild dogs and leopard and cub in tree. Hi Rob, we had an amazing time in Kenya, just thought we’d drop you a line about each of the places that we stayed. Kicheche Laikipia – We absolutely loved this camp, it was such a nice size and the staff were brilliant. The tents were well furnished and very big, we liked sitting on the veranda and watching the elephants and buffalo down at the waterhole. The guides were very knowledgable and the area was beautiful. We saw a cheetah kill an impala which really made our trip! Kicheche Mara – our guide David was brilliant, he knew everything about all of the game and birds. We went to the local market and to a masai village from here. We saw a Serval cat and a Caracal, both of which we were told had only been spotted a couple of times since June. We also saw 2 different leopards! Waterlovers – what a beautiful place, this hotel was in such an amazing location and just felt so intimate and special. The staff were always on hand to help you find your spot in the morning and then bring drinks etc through out the day if you wanted anything. We went swimming in the sea every day, after asking the beach boys to leave us alone on the first day we weren’t too bothered by them. The food was delicious and we loved that we could go out in the evenings too, we ate at the hotel 3 evenings and went out 3 evenings. The staff were all very friendly, we saw the 2 managers each day and also the owners made an effort to come and speak to us every morning. Thank you for organising such an amazing trip for us, hopefully we wont have to wait another 6 years until we can go again!.![]()

Hi Mary. Just got back last night and are still in a jet lag fog with the 11 hour difference. Thanks to you, the trip was unspeakably wonderful and will be hard to beat. We will fill you in when we are recovered and perhaps send you a couple of our highlights in photos.
With warm thanks.![]()

Hi Mary, we had the most amazing time in Tanzania and want to thank you all again for the arrangements made on our behalf – everything went well, no problems, fantastic! Impala Camp, Selous – our favourite. Staff wonderful, very relaxing, food very good. We did both game drive and boat safaris. A wonderful place to stay. Kwihala, Ruaha – a completely different feel, more remote and amazing. Very ‘full on’, so we were quite tired. Game drives very exciting and on our penultimate day we managed to find the elusive cheetah! The Tides – our relaxation few days – well needed! A lovely place, excellent food (fish every evening). Great beach and very, very quiet. Staff wonderful. As you can tell, we loved every minute. Can’t think of how you could have improved your service for us, so thank you again. Our very best wishes to you and everyone at Safari Consultants.![]()
