Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud and fortunate to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers, who also recommend our services to their friends, family and colleagues, or even fellow travellers they meet on safari. Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. Please also visit the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) feedback site to see reviews on our services and our clients’ experiences.
We had an absolutely fantastic time in Namibia. Probably our best-ever trip, so many thanks for all your help and advice. It’s hard to rank so many different experiences, but our favourites were Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp and Tok Tokkie Trail. Hoodia was also very good, mainly because of the expert guiding to Sossusvlei, which really was a step up from the usual level. In Swakopmund, the kayaking and Sandwich Bay 4×4 trip were great fun. Best wishes and thanks again.![]()

Rob, you have just got to promote this destination more. The country, its people, birdlife, wildlife and culture were just fantastic. Everyone was so friendly. Save Valley Conservancy was fascinating – spent a morning game drive with people from the wild dog research project and enjoyed great views of wild dog. Amalinda was wonderful – tucked away into the granite outcrops. Stunning location and we saw white rhino and Cecil Rhodes’ final resting place. Somalisa was stunning and contemporary. Hundreds of elephant virtually all the time drinking in the water hole and trough just yards away. Camp Hwange – just mind-boggling. We spent time with the Lion Research Project team that oversaw Cecil. Julian was a fantastic host. We also saw leopard and clocked up our 300th different bird specie on our last morning in camp! All in all, an amazing trip – with a mix of culture, birding, wildlife, scenery, and fascinating conversations over dinner tables. I have become a Zimbabwe ambassador – the country needs more tourists to go and see what it has to offer away from Mana and the usual travel hotspots. This is a travel circuit that could well prove of interest to experienced African travellers who are not simply interested in wildlife watching. We loved the changing scenery, terrain, climate, culture, flora and fauna. To rack up 300 birds over the duration of the trip was brilliant including lots of ‘lifers’. As you can probably tell – we had a great time. Thanks again for making it possible.![]()

Hi Rob, we returned safely after yet another marvellous trip – exceedingly well organised by you and your team. It was a great success from all angles and especially our walking safari with Moli and Noelle at Kichaka Expeditions. They are a great couple – he is extremely knowledgeable and very good at sharing his enthusiasm and passion with his guests. She is a wonderful girl, also full of enthusiasm and a great cook! The guides that we had at both Mdonya and Selous were excellent and we much enjoyed the experience of the two different national parks. Very few other people, as promised, just as we like it!! Many thanks for putting together yet another great trip!![]()

Dear Michele, Well done. Best safari ever by a long way. That’s not to say the previous safaris were not excellent but this one was outstanding. The Serengeti, Gibbs Farm, the Kigali Hotel, the gorillas, the Ngorongoro Crater, all the young animals including the baby giraffe taking its first steps and of course Alison’s birthday treats. Well done to you and all your team. 10/10 all round.![]()

We had an amazing time and fell in love with Zambia! Mwamba was a very good camp in a great location. The hides were a great bonus. The sleep out was fantastic and although we didn’t see any game, it was wonderful being out in the open (and cooler) air under the stars, watching the moon go down! Robin Pope bush camping was such a wonderful experience. The guide Kanga was excellent, the best during the trip. Tafika was a nice spacious camp, good game viewing with lions, leopard and her cub. At Chikoko we saw a rare sighting of Pels fishing owl and had a herd of wildebeest approach us whilst we were sat having a bush tea. Crocodile Camp was a great location with the watering hole in front of camp and our room, which made us feel like we had our own hide. Old Mondoro was a blessing after the heat and dryness of the valley – the accommodation was beautiful and felt like a lovely treat after being in the bush! The boat trips were amazing and on our last night we saw the first baby Impala of the season.![]()

Hi Michele, a long, long overdue note of thanks (my apologies). What an amazing trip. What a wonderful country. What gracious and accommodating hosts. But most importantly, because of you, what a spectacular travel itinerary. You can’t imagine how many people we met who were both envious and amazed by the opportunities and activities afforded to us. The destinations, the lodgings, the animals, the people…I really can’t say enough. Perfect in so many, many ways. Michele, my entire family and I want to thank you for all you did to make our adventure more than we ever imagined. Truly. We appreciate your attention to detail, your energy and enthusiasm, and your patience with us before, during and (now) after the trip. You and your team were superb. Again, my apologies for my tardy reply. And thank you, thank you, thank you!![]()

The trip surpassed all my expectations and has provided me with some magical memories. The camps were exceptional and I can honestly say I have never been so well cared for. Special recommendations must go to Sonia and her team at Laikipia. Both guides: Onesmus and Mika, both of whom were extraordinary and without exception, all the staff at Siankaba. A huge thank you to all of them. This was a truly wonderful, one might almost say life changing trip and one that I shall never forget. Overall, I must send a personal note of thanks to Michele who orchestrated the whole affair with care and efficiency. I shall rave about Safari Consultants to my friends until I am in danger of boring them silly! With grateful thanks.![]()

We had a fantastic trip, thank you! All down to your expertise and efforts. I had high expectations going in after previous experiences many years ago, but both portions of the trip – especially the Mara – more than lived up to these. Offbeat was exactly what I was after when speaking to Michele, so thanks for choosing so well for us. We just wanted to say that, at the outset of this trip, we contacted numerous travel agents and safari specialists, but none really came close to the insight and service we got from your guys. We got a lot of commoditised, pre-built itineraries, honeymoon plans we didn’t ask for, and, in some cases, refusal to work with the budget we had (!). So just wanted to let you know this, and will be recommending you in future.![]()
