Hi Michele, many thanks for organizing us another great trip!, we have always wanted to see the Delta and it was great to see…we enjoyed the diversity of the trip and we saw and did a lot in the 2 weeks. We loved the team at Savute and the location of Kanana….and it was great to end at Waterberry Lodge where we saw the falls from both sides…We look forward to our next trip!

Hello Bill, this trip to Zambia surpassed our highest hopes, special sightings just kept coming and by the end exceeded anything we had a right to expect. Across all camps we had sightings of eight Leopards, at least as many of Lions, some great Elephant, Hippos and more Giraffe than we have seen anywhere the list just goes on. We also had a really good range of bird viewing, lots of raptors, waders, Bee-eaters, Nightjar again the list just goes on. All the camps were first class with great hospitality, good accommodation and food. The decision to opt for private guiding was more than justified; James Chabuka is an excellent guide and very good company. In Lower Zambezi the tempo of sightings did not slow down. At Old Mondoro we had a brief sighting of Bush Pig, and a daytime sighting of two Porcupine, Lion close to camp and of course many Elephant in camp; again lots of good bird watching and a very good morning walk. Chiawa proved that the best is saved till last. A morning river cruise produced the best bird watching we have had, particularly notable was a Goliath Heron struggling with a large Bream which it eventually managed to swallow, much to our amazement. Once again our thanks for your faultless organisation.

Hello Mary, overall…a great, most enjoyable & successful trip. Arrangements all immaculate with excellent rooms/ guides allocated. Thank you! Highlights…29 leopards in about 22 sightings including family with kill, 2 very close encounters which had adrenalin going and 1 who ran hard at us and we thought he may jump in! Some excellent photos and some of the most memorable encounters with leopards, lions and elephants we have experienced in 20 years+ of safaris. Kuyenda – Excellent! Best camp, best guide/armed ranger (Kelvin & Isaiah), best food and outstanding hosting from Babette & Phil. Attention to detail and simple bush style memorable. Old Mondoro – Great camp and friendly hosts Dave & Tess. Chiawa – Some great spots and encounters. Ruckomechi – Lovely room & setting. Kango – Really good camp, friendly welcome and staff. Good guide Bono who got us so close to pack of 28 Wild Dog under trees. Victoria Falls Hotel – Wonderful and loved our stay! Very attentive staff with some real stars. Very pleased with all your arrangements!

Hi Michele, thanks for your email and sorry it’s taken so long to respond. We had an absolute fantastic trip yet again with brilliant experiences including the rescue of a baby elephant in Olare Orok conservancy! I had a great birthday celebration and thank you so much for the champagne which went down well – we toasted you! Fred and the team at Kicheche pulled out all the stops again to give us a truly memorable stay! I will send you some photos later – again we had excellent game viewing. We saw all the big cats at Bush Camp and even had a cheetah climbing on top of our car! As you see, we had so many exciting adventures, we can’t wait to go back! We just want to say a big thank you again for organising a memorable trip – everything went according to plan plus all these extras thrown in!

Hi Michele, thank you for your letter. We did indeed have a wonderful holiday which more than lived up to our expectations, thank you. We saw everything we could have wished to, several times over. On our transfer drive into Amboseli we saw lions manoeuvring and feeding on a zebra; also there we saw a cheetah and her cubs eating a freshly killed gazelle. On a night drive in Laikipia we sat whilst 14 lions squabbled over a warthog carcass in the light of our headlights. In the Mara we saw a leopard holding fast to a young wildebeest’s throat as it died, and then watched her drag it into the undergrowth. As far as individual animal sightings go, we saw an aardwolf (Mara), a zorilla (Laikipia), a wild dog (Amboseli – our guide said it had been a year since he’d seen one); a bush baby (by the light of the camp fire in the Mara). Many thanks again from all of us for organising such an amazing holiday.

Hi Rob, I want to give you my overview of the experience we had as a first-timer to Africa over the last couple of days. We were met by Peter, our guide at Laikipia, and had a really nice introduction to game-driving in Africa just arriving in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It was just nice seeing elephants, zebra’s, rhino’s…already arriving at the site. Of course, Sonja is a very warm person and made us feel ‘at home’ throughout the 3 night stay. She, Juma and the whole staff actually gave a very warm feeling at the camp. All too soon, we were expected back at the airstrip for our SafariLink connection to the Mara. James, our guide at Kicheche Bush, did what he had to do! Find game, be funny, show us around, nothing was too much. We have been so lucky with all the game we have seen! If somehow I can list up or show you what we saw…it is massive! But arriving at Mara House, even our guide James dropped his mouth seeing the new environment where we were going to stay for the remaining three nights. Mara house was wonderful! The water pool added to the house gives you the max. We saw elephants, baboons, gazelles, impalas, wildebeests, different birds, warthogs….it was fabulous. To make a perfect combination: put Mara House at the Bush site with the Laikipia staff and you have THE safari combination everyone will be looking for! (except for the guides where each one had his own expertise)

Hi Rob, we had the most fantastic holiday and saw far more than we ever imagined, including a large river crossing of wildebeest, so a very big thank you not only for your help in pointing us towards Kenya, but also the Kicheche camps. We couldn’t have been looked after better, everyone was so welcoming and their enthusiasm for the wildlife was clear to see. I am missing my early morning greeting with coffee and cookies! At the Valley Camp there was much excitement as our guide Mika – with us and another couple in the Landover! – located the female leopard and cubs which had been evading detection for a while. She has been visible (with binoculars) from our tent sitting on a large rock across the other side of the valley, what a treat.

Hi Rob, we arrived home safely from yet another great safari experience. You will be pleased to know that the game viewing was exceptional and the best we have ever seen in all of our trips. We saw what was the best migration for three years and watched ten thousand Wildebeest crossing the Mara river at a spectacular crossing point. We also saw our first ever successful Cheetah hunt along with wonderful sightings of Leopard, Lion and Rhino. Another good combination of areas, properties and fantastic guiding throughout. Mara House exceeded all expectations and we thought it was a perfect property to relax in at the end of our trip. Linda and I were so pleased that 16 years after our visit to the original Rekero cottages we were lucky to be re-united and guided by Fred, who was our guide then. We were also pleased to see Sonja again, who looked after us brilliantly. Thanks again for putting together another superb trip.
