Hello Rob, we able to get within 25 yards of four of the big 5 (Leopard the exception none seen), and numerous other close encounters with antelope, hippo, hyena, warthog, the classics with Kitonga on Lewa Walking Wild being 1) tracking two male lion for best part two hours and then after it was clear to Kitonga they had split, he only peeked round a thicket to find one of them sunbathing his undercarriage about 15/20 yards away and it did not know we were there until his brother roared from 40/50 yards away and they both ran off, and 2) getting into a downwind position from a mother white rhino and her sub adult kids (3 years and 6 years per Kitonga) and they finally realised something was there when we were 15 yards apart. The mother for a minute or two continuously put one step forward and then back again as if she was indecisive whether to charge but clearly could not see what we were. Kitonga finally clicked his fingers and the rhino retreated 30 yards or so and then stared at us as if to think “what the hell was that”. Basically what I am saying is that I absolutely loved it and when mates who asked how much it cost I said it was well worth it. So many thanks Rob your message got through to Kenya loud and clear as to what I wanted and I got it!![]()

Hi Mary, I have been meaning to email you sooner and thank you for booking us on such a special holiday, but life has been very busy since our return. The trip was perfect. Every detail worked out just right which made the holiday virtually stress free. Laikipia Wilderness was our favourite. Annabelle and Steve run such a wonderful camp. Really makes you feel like you are friends visiting their home rather than a paying guest. Kicheche Mara Camp was also very good, but didn’t have the personalised touch that Laikipia offered. We did however see some amazing wildlife in the Mara. It was a great suggestion that we pair up the two locations. My husband got the most beautiful shot of a leopard and her cubs. They didn’t come out much so we were very lucky. I have had several people ask me about how they go about booking a trip like this for themselves and when they are ready to move forward, I will be sure to send them your way. Definitely a trip of a lifetime for us. Thanks so much.![]()

Dear Rob, thank you so much for organising what was a truly fantastic holiday. We have come back with so many great memories. As you told us at the outset, Zambia is a special place, the people are so friendly and the game viewing, particularly at South Luangwa, was amazing. We all had a wonderful break, made all the better by the lack of phone signal and wifi. All the lodges were great and the staff were almost without exception lovely and welcoming. We thought that Mwamba and Old Mondoro were really, really special places to stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed Kaingo and thought that Siankaba was a great spot from which to visit the Falls. The local people and the village there were so welcoming. Things that stood out a little more than all the other great things – The guiding at Kaingo and Mwamba – Sylvester was our guide and he was brilliant. It was also really good to have the same guide through both camps, Mwamba – just being out in the bush miles from anywhere; a true wilderness, Old Mondoro – the setting on the river is really special, Canoeing The Discovery Channel at Old Mondoro and the boat ride down from Chiawa to Old Mondoro. Overall this was a really fantastic break. You have 5 happy customers and we will undoubtedly return to Africa in the future with you.![]()

Dear Rob, I just wanted to say a massive thanks for delivering a great holiday – you fulfilled my brief perfectly, and exceeded all our expectations. All arrangements, transfers and accommodation were like clockwork, no concerns at all. We liked that Elephant Plains and Muchenje arranged for us to have the same guides throughout our stay, as this greatly enhances the relationships and communication. Elephant Plains was a great location, great food & great staff. Morné Fouche our guide was very professional – we loved the drives and game walks with him. Over 3 days we saw 7 different leopard, 4 different rhino and a big herd of buffalo, 800-1000 strong which Morné managed to park just ahead of, then they flowed all around the vehicle for 20-30 mins as they passed, unforgettable. Muchenje – great atmosphere, felt like home from home, fantastic location on the escarpment overlooking the floodplain. We enjoyed the full day out with boat trip, picnic lunch then a game drive back along the Chobe waterfront, with hundreds of elephant, buffalo, zebra & sable. We got a fantastic front row view of a lion hunt by a pride of 10 lions. Waterberry Lodge was a great end to the holiday – fantastic location and good food. We enjoyed the sunset cruise, fishing, hippos on the lawn and bird watching. So relaxing to just chill on the banks of the Zambezi. The visit to the Falls was great. We have great photos and great memories – thank you. We now have lots of ideas for return trips, and will not hesitate to contact you.![]()

Hello Frances, we all had an amazing time and were extremely impressed with the arrangements and accommodation you booked for us. Makanyane was the highlight of the trip but Babylonstoren was a real treat and we all enjoyed the warm hospitality and freedom of Jembisa. We hope to be back one day. Thanks again for all your help.![]()

Hi Rob, we had a fantastic time – as a headline I would give Selinda a 5 out of 5 rating. Beautiful camp and experience enhanced by the boat ride from the boat station to camp past the hippos etc. Felt very close indeed to the wildlife – had baboons, elephants and hippos in/very close to camp. On the last morning we were sat having breakfast round the fire when a kudu crashed through 3 yards from us pursued by a pack of 16 wild dogs!! We saw the dogs twice, lions 4 times, leopard and lost count of the number of elephants. Guide OB was fantastic – very experienced. At Shinde our guide Bee was again very experienced and very good. Lovely Independence Day celebrations – staff charming and tried super hard. We did the mekoro excursions – a great experience. All the arrangements were superb. Everything worked incredibly well for which we thank you. Also, it was meant to be a real lifetime experience for Greg and it certainly was!!!! Already started thinking about next time – I’d love Botswana and Namibia together. Many many thanks for all the help you’ve given. I’m not pleased to be home though!!!!!![]()

We would like to thank you so much, especially Michele for all your advice and help. The arrangements were not the most straightforward but you had carried them out so that everything ran seamlessly. I did not want to return to the UK and can’t wait for our next visit. I will be starting to plan again with Michele as soon as I finish the laundry!! Thank you so much.![]()

Hi Mary, I loved every minute of it, even though we had to get up at 5.30am every morning! The itinerary was fantastic – everywhere we went we were greeted by friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. It was full on, as we were moving every other day, but we soon got into the rhythm of it. Have to admit to being exhausted since I got back though! A real dream come true for me. Thank you.![]()

Dear Mary, we want to thank you so very much for an outstanding experience!!!!! You were so lovely to work with during all of the planning and some of our last minute church changes! What an incredible experience we had!!!!! All of our transports were right on time, clean, and courteous. We learned so much local flavor in talking with our drivers. Virunga Lodge was spectacular. Every detail was seen to. They provided us with spats for the gorilla hike and even cleaned our boots upon return. We sat with groups of other travelers so that was fun to get to know people from all over. FYI: They now have power strips in the rooms and loan out battery operated hair blowers, Both the golden monkey safari and the gorilla safari were fabulous. Very well coordinated and we felt totally safe. We really over-thought the experience before we went…it was a breeze. Ngare Serian was our absolute favorite among favorites. Adrian runs a great lodge. The aaccommodations were so spectacular right on the Mara River. The guide and driver were so well prepared and courteous. Being guided and at night being protected by the Masai warriors was a fun treat. We felt the experience was very authentic. We were totally blessed by a great migration of zebras. We watched 4000-5000 zebras cross over a 2 hour period at the main crossing. I know timing is everything…and we had the timing. We skipped the tree house. It is pretty rough and we so loved our room we did not want to miss a day staying there. Emakoka was a perfect end to the trip. Nairobi is such a busy city we were glad to be able to spend our last night in their peaceful surroundings. We took a late afternoon game drive. The food looked great and the service was so classy. I was a little under the weather that day and did not get a chance to enjoy all of the great food. But Marv said it was great. I recovered the following morning and breakfast was terrific! I would be happy to post any high recommendations I can on whatever sites would be helpful to you and your company. You are the finest! Thank you so much.![]()

Hi Mary, Many apologies for not contacting you to say a big thank you for organising the trip but I suspect we have all been caught in a Botswana bubble!!!! It was a great itinerary! The camps were all very different and enabled us to have a real insight into Botswana. It was ideal to end at Pelo Camp with a laid back and really remote environment having experienced the rather chi chi Duma Tau and the authentic Savuti Camp. The guides were solicitous and knowledgeable and the staff friendly and welcoming. The highlights…. The welcome and choirs at the camps, The fireside bars, The hot water bottles aka bush buddies, The superb setting for cocktails, The amazing array of wildlife flora and fauna. So as you can tell a great success. Many thanks.![]()
